Job Description This position is located in Limerick, ME. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
•Close plant books monthly in SAP- prepare journal entries etc.
•Perform cost analysis on materials and production work orders
•Analyze manufacturing variances
•Prepare and publish monthly plant performance report and special reports as needed
•Participate in cost center analysis and assure correct classifications of transactions
•Maintain fixed asset register
•AFE review and compliance
•Inventory reporting and analysis
•Assist in preparation of annual budget and estimates for plant
•Provide accounting and analytical support to the Division controller / plant management
•Maintain system of internal controls and comply with internal audit requirements
•Other responsibilities as assigned ad hoc by plant controller
Job Requirements/ Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis on accounting or finance preferred
•More than 3 years experience in financial or manufacturing accounting required
•Must possess a basic understanding of GAAP. Requires the ability to solve complex problems and provide analysis for both solutions and broad-based impact.
•Must be well organized and have good communication skills, both oral and written.
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and Excel. SAP experience is a plus
•Must be able to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision, to produce results that are both accurate and timely.
