Job Description
Responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and reports for management on a timely basis. Responsible for the month-end close process. Investigates variances in account balances on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis and provides explanations. May review work of less experienced accountants. May prepare financial statements or reports required by external auditors or regulatory authorities. Maintain automated accounting systems and using computer resources to generate periodic reports and statements.

Professional accounting position with complex assignments, diversified duties and coordination of related assignments are typical. Makes routine decisions and determines proper course of action. May develop policies and procedures. Judgment and independent decision making required for complex issues. May oversee less experienced accountants.
Qualifications

* A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
* Preferably 2-4 years of professional accounting experience.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP.
* Problem solving/creative thinking, teamwork
* Communication (written and verbal).
