Position Overview:
As a Sanitation Team Member you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order on the sales floor by washing windows, cleaning bathrooms and common areas, and sweeping the floor. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Duties:
1. Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the store looks great at all times. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.
2. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the sales floor.
3. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the customer and team member bathrooms.
4. Sweeping, picking up debris, cleaning up spills throughout the sales floor.
5. Regularly check the trash receptacles on the sales floor and empty as necessary.
6. Polishing the stainless steel on the sales floor on a scheduled basis.
7. Perform high dusting on a scheduled basis.
8. Clean, dust and empty trash in back offices at least once a day.
9. Answers customer questions.
10. Assist in keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing.
11. Clear and clean tables in the café area throughout the day and bring dishes/cutlery to dishwashing area.
12. Collect, consolidate and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
13. Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.
14. Operates and sanitizes all equipment in a safe and proper manner
15. Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader (Department Manager), Associate Team Leader (Assistant Department Manager), or Supervisor.
Requirements:
1. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
2. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and leadership.
3. Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
4. Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
5. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
6. Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
7. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
8. Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 100 pounds.
9. Use of box cutters.
