Located at our aviation facility in Ypsilanti, MI, Johnson Controls has a challenging opportunity for an individual to provide administrative support to department managers, office supervisor/scheduler, flight crews, and maintenance staff. Processes requests for use of company aircraft in accordance with company and department policies. Arranges aircraft, flight crew, and passenger support services including rental cars and hotel reservations, fixed-base operator notifications, contract fuel arrangements, international handling, and domestic and international flight planning. Handles departure check-in, arrival, and passenger requests for corporate shuttle. Provides office support functions including reception, word-processing, accounting database entry, and periodic report preparation. Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and appointments for department managers, which may include preparation of related materials. Requisition and manage office supplies. Hours of work would be late afternoon to early evening, but could be asked to work other hours, if needed.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with an Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with aviation office support experience preferred. Prior training in office automation and travel management software; experience with corporate flight department scheduling software preferred. Exceptional customer service skills, including courteousness, tact, and good verbal communications. Strong office administration and organization skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes preferred. Ability to work without direct supervision, and must be accurate, efficient, and capable of handling detailed work assignments. Must be flexible, team-oriented, and able to complete tasks with frequent interruptions and efficiently resolve numerous trip revisions. Maintains respect for confidential information.
