Job Description

Smartronix, Inc is seeking an A/V Support Administrator supporting a large contract in Stuttgart, Germany. The position will support Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and AudioVisual (AV) systems. The A/V Support Admin will provide state of the art, networked visual information services for a major military headquarters and its meeting and conference facilities.

The A/V Support Admin duties will include:

· Experience engineering, operating, and maintaining suites of VTC and AV hardware and software in offices, residents and conference rooms.

· Demonstrated ability to schedule, coordinate, and administer VTC and AV sessions.

· Demonstrated ability to recommend upgrades to the VTC and AV systems and incorporate approved upgrades.

· Demonstrated ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.

· Demonstrated ability to design and develop from concept to completion, simple and complex technical solutions.

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate, integrate, organize and manage projects effectively.

· Demonstrated ability to prepare and present surveys, reports and proposals.

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate internally and with distant ends to troubleshoot outages, impacts and failures and submit service request/trouble tickets as required in Remedy.

Required Skills

• General certifications in industry-standard video teleconferencing equipment and protocols or at substantial experience operating and maintaining video teleconferencing systems
Position requires knowledge of network topologies with a strong emphasis on H.323/ IP-based collaborative methodologies and point-to-point and multi-point VTC. The candidate must be demonstrate the following knowledge and/or experience in the following technical areas:
• System design and engineering experience
• Data and voice communications experience, including knowledge of secure audio/video components and support systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present material to senior DoD and non-DoD officials
• Technical oversight experience in a C4 networking environment
• Insight to emerging industry-standard video teleconferencing technologies
• Demonstrated knowledge of IP-based and ISDN-based video teleconferencing technologies and systems to include Tandberg, Tandberg Management System, Polycom, and “whiteboard” applications
• Experience with control systems, A/V switchers, streaming devices, A/V collaborative tools, and implementation of Digital Video Services-Global (DVS-G) and/or the IP based DVS II
• Familiarity of terrestrial and satellite communications to include: H.320 (ISDN), H.323 (IP) and associated support equipment
• Well-versed with collaborative technologies to include MCU’s gatekeepers and gateways
