Current Need
We are currently seeking a Cash Applications Supervisor for our Indianapolis Distribution Center.
Position Description
The Cash Applications Supervisor will coordinate and provide guidance to cash receipts clerks who receive and post all cash receipts. Verifies C/R batches on a daily/monthly basis, performs basic clean up on invoices and accounts and processes miscellaneous transactions. Supports the completion of Cash and Clearing Acct reconciliations. Approve and submit payroll data from time cards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Primarily responsible for posting customer payments to A/R system.
2. Assigns, distributes and monitors workflow for cash apps area focusing on quality and making timely deposits. Completes any necessary paperwork & batch postings. Runs credit card settlements & does necessary filing associated with the position. Sets up new accounts in the computer system.
3. Assists with posting credit card payments, NAP and Wholesale postings.
4. Assists with reconciling adjustment and other GL accounts. Reviews cash apps batches for accuracy and completeness and supports the completion of the internal control review.
5. Customer Service; may provide general assistance to collections by answering incoming calls or making courtesy calls on past due balances.
6. Coordinate submission of approved time cards for payroll processing.
Minimum Requirements
1+ years supervisory exp; 3+ years accounting clerk experience, 3+ years office experience; 2+ years experience handling cash (either Cashier, or Cash Receipt Clerk).
Must possess a high degree of detail and organization skills, professional communication skills, be computer savvy and have good math skills.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Training/ Education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Accounts Receivable preferred.
Physical Requirements
General Office Demands + ability to lift and/or pull 10 lbs.
