CLINICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATE
Region: Chicago South
Job Responsibilities:
* Maintain and build upon established rapport with assigned physicians and create new relationships
* Maintain and build on existing links with patient associations.
* Identify new patients and help facilitate comprehensive care
* Canvas targeted physician subspecialty groups to build disease awareness and patient identification
* Develop and update annual business plan to penetrate new markets
* Educate and train doctors, nursing staff, pharmacists and genetic counselors regarding the safe use of products
* Confidently discuss the clinical aspects of Fabry, Gaucher, MPS1 and Pompe Diseases and their treatments
* Collaborate with others (internal and external) to implement education and awareness for four diseases and therapies
* Close monitoring of direct accounts to optimize patient adherence
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree and 7-10+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales experience
* Experience with pre-launch/launch; development of a new specialty market and biotech sales
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience working in a matrix environment
* Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
* Self-starter with proven track record and demonstrated sales results
* Strong clinical, organizational, communications and planning skills
* Candidates must live in and have experience in the territory
* Experience in working with niche products that cover a variety of medical specialties
* Experience in a complex payor/reimbursement market
