Credit Analyst – Government Banking

Kelly Financial Resources has an excellent full-time opportunity available for an experienced Credit Analyst here in the Portland area. Our client, a leader in the banking industry, is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst with Government Banking experience for their growing team.

Listed in order of time consumption work would include:

-Spread and analyze governmental financial statements (80-90%)
Read all or parts of a government’s annual financial statement
Extract information about balance sheet and income statement
Enter the $ amounts into a bank-specific financial analysis tool
Use the results to enter information into a bank-specific request for credit approval
Submit that document for approval and track for completion

- Assist the regional credit team with the administration of the loan portfolio (3-4%)
Create credit files
Do filing

- Monitor payments and covenant compliance (3-4%)
Work with bank-specific on-line programs to check on payments
Use same program to check on codes, dates, other information

- Work directly with governmental customers, as needed, on a variety of credit-related activities (3-4%)
Contact and request financial statements
Inquire about past-due payments.
