TITLE: Transaction Processor Specialist

2. POSITION PURPOSE
Provides data entry and verification support to a task, project, contract or division by
operating data entry equipment to code, format, decipher, and transcribe data from multiple
source documents and/or phone calls into a fonn suitable for storing, retrieving, processing,
and manipulating within an automated system. May enter data into formatted or
unformatted screens and/or documents. May have some supervisory responsibilities. A
senior-level clerical position requires extensive experience with data entry functions and a
variety of standard source documents. The Data Management Specialist performs moderate
to complex tasks requiring some deciphering and and/or disruption. formatting according to
Company or project standards. May assist lower-level staff with routine questions or
problems. Works under general supervision and errors may cause some delay, expense
5. WORKING CONDITIONS
~ Works in an office environment with production orientation.
~ Uses PC, optical scanner, typewriter, calculator and other office equipment.

• Provide data entry and verification support to a task, project, contract or division
by operating data entry equipment to code, format, decipher, and transcribe data
from multiple source documents into a form suitable for storing, retrieving,
processing, and manipulating within an automated system. Enter data into
formatted and unformatted screens and/or documents. Operate alphanumeric
keyboard for data entry. Correct erroneous items or codes and missing
information. Verify data entry work of others for accuracy and completeness.
• Interprets, consolidates and matches information from more than one original
document and/or phone call, ensuring final product is comprehensible.
• Achieve optimum customer satisfaction as measured by meeting or exceeding
application customers’ and DOL representatives’ requirements. Complete annual
compliance training as identified by the customer, OIG, and ACS..
• Identify system enhancements and process improvements to achieve cost savings
and/or system performance improvements. Promote overall success of the ICON
program.
• Work with colleagues to leverage strengths within the group. Promote positive
attitude and team atmosphere.

3. REPRESENT ATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
~ Deciphers and transcribes data from multiple source documents and/or phone calls
according to Company or project standards.
~ Interprets, consolidates and matches information from more than one original
document and/or phone call, ensuring final product is comprehensible.
~ Operates alphanumeric keyboard for data entry.
~ Corrects erroneous items or codes and missing information by contacting the
customer to verify input.
~ Verifies data entry work of others for accuracy and completeness.
~ Reports equipment failure to appropriate individual(s).
~ May supervise or assist lower-level staff.
4. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
~ High School diploma or equivalent.
~ 3 – 5 years of data entry experience.
~ Accurate typing of 65 words per minute.
~ Manual dexterity.
~ Ability to use PC, typewriter, calculator and/or other data entry devices.
~ Ability to pay attention to details.
