JOB SUMMARY

The ICORE Director of Managed Care is accountable for managing the development of plans and strategies to achieve revenue and market share objectives. The ICORE Director of Managed Care will accomplish these objectives by managing a team of Account Executives (6-8) and others who will implement formulary optimization business plans with contracted accounts, and by leading an integrated Field Sales effort to meet or exceed revenue and market share objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure that all business and rebate revenue goals are achieved for targeted health plans.

*
Lead and direct a team of highly motivated and skilled Account Executives (6-8 ppl) covering assigned health plans.

*
Responsible for developing and maintaining critical business relationships between health plan clients and pharmaceutical manufacturer partners.

*
Direct the efforts of the field-based medical Clinical Liaison team (4-5 ppl).

*
Manage the Prior Authorization and Utilization Management department (5 ppl) – ensure that all health plan medical guidelines and protocols are managed effectively by ICORE, and that all preferred product market shares goals are realized.

*
Ensure that all fee-for-service revenue goals are achieved by the ICORE hemophilia team.

*
Design AE account matrix, assign market share and rebate revenue goals, and manage performance vs. goals.

*
Development and execution of account and segment specific strategies and tactical plans – establishment of plans that enhance the appropriate utilization of preferred products.

*
Manage the Customer Marketing Management team (2 ppl); oversee the development and execution of all health plan promotional materials and marketing programs.

*
Continually assess the ICORE managed care marketing strategies to assure preferred product market share/revenue goals are achieved.

*
Expand a strong managed markets department/team. Mentor, coach, develop, and enhance their teamwork, strategic, analytical, and collaboration capabilities.

*
Ensure that all preferred product strategies, contract requirements, and reporting needs are fulfilled on behalf of pharmaceutical partners.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: BA/BS

Experience: > 8yrs.

Computer Skills: MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Director Pharmaceutical Managed Care, Sales Management

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Pharmaceutical industry expertise, extensive knowledge of managed care, pharmacy & medical reimbursement, presentation and negotiation skills, strong verbal and written skills, ability to manage multiple projects.
