Student Engineer, regardless of age, will work in a small office, as part of a 15-person team working on transition to production of a developmental DoD program. This position primarily involves the steps necessary to review production drawings for accuracy, assist in capturing changes and recommended improvements, and in configuration management of the documentation. The candidate will be under close supervision of a mechanical engineer, and will be expected to perform entry-level engineering/scientific tasks, such as basic analysis, testing, and preparation of reports and documents. The candidate may review technical literature and reports, participate in field investigations and characterizations, or evaluate and assemble technical data. After the Summer Internship, the candidate may be offered casual/on-call employment through the academic year.
