SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for the management of one Card Service Center and Data Center. Oversight includes all installation, maintenance and operations of CRAC units; electrical distribution, including generators, UPS, and PDU; fire detection and suppression systems within a series of defined data centers and communications rooms. A primary responsibility is to ensure that client specifications are met though adherence to policy and procedure guidelines for facility operations, maintenance, change control and customer service. In addition, the CE Facilities Manager will maintain and or monitor the operations budget and will partner his/her Technology counterpart to create and implement the annual capital and expense project budget.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Conduct ongoing evaluation through physical inspections of properties and review customer needs.
oPrepare monthly reports, and annual facility inspection reports.
oResearch new programs or processes to improve quality/costs.
oEnsure preventative maintenance programs are in place and adequate.
oDevelop or maintain safety programs for client's needs (earthquake evacuation, first aid, etc.)
oInspect facilities for, and eliminate safety hazards. Ensure safety of work practices and procedures of CBRE employees and contract employees.
oInterface with Project Management regarding projects they are working on within region.
oCoordinate and oversee Operations maintenance and projects within region.
oControl expenditures to maintain budgetary limits. Prepare budget reports and other reports as necessary for senior management. Approve all invoices for maintenance and building services associated with assigned properties.
oCoordinate and update end users on all projects and applicable maintenance issues.
oDevelop positive relationships with clients and vendors. Respond to problems and concerns that are recurring or of sensitive nature; enforce rules and regulations.
oDevelop and maintain ongoing positive relationship with the Facilities Service Center in order to provide highest quality customer service to clients.
oMaintain awareness of and adherence to security concerns and protocol relating to all projects, maintenance items and inspections. Work closely with Corporate Security to ensure compliance.
oEducate user regarding completion of CPS, PO/L and IS.
oEscalate situations as appropriate to CBRE and Client management teams.
oOpen, close and prioritize work orders to correct reported problems.
oPerforms other similar responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Candidate should possess a minimum of five years of experience in the field of facilities, property management, or building operations and have a minimum of three years of management experience. A Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred. Must be able to manage a budget and have a general understanding of, management, negotiation, and computers – Microsoft Windows (email, word processing and spreadsheet), written & verbal communication (including presentations), consulting. Inspection of buildings includes climbing stairs and ladders, and frequent investigation of small, enclosed areas. Extensive driving personal vehicle for business reasons, as well as a willingness to work and drive in all weather conditions.
