Job Description
Responsible for the analysis and participation in the design of financial transaction processes across all business units with a primary focus on Fixed Asset and Projects accounting. Responsibilities include learning new application functionality and/or data setup, working with the finance organization to define and document existing processes and information needs, coordinate and/or participate in new process, task and report design and execute changes in partnership with the business. Responsibilities will include the assessment, recommendation and implementation of applicable system functionality necessary to make new process design and improvements possible. Participates on a diverse team of finance and I/S professionals to research, assess, recommend and implement changes in both process and technology. Maintains excellent business and I/S relationships and communication. Must be willing and able to travel.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance disciplines. Two to five years of accounting/finance experience including hands on experience in Fixed Asset accounting is required. Knowledge of capitalization and depreciation rules for financial and Federal tax purposes is required. An understanding of capital asset budgeting and the cost accumulation process for asset recording is desirable. Prior project accounting and project experience is desirable. Experience with Oracle systems is desirable. Required skills include organizational and analytical skills, adaptability and flexibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as are strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
