Since the Beachhouse at the Moana opened its doors in November 2007 at Waikiki’s most iconic address, the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, it has become one of the premier upscale dining venues in Waikiki. The ambiance is tranquil and relaxing, evoking appreciation for life’s delights and impeccable culinary classics amidst the backdrop of the Moana’s lovely Victorian architecture. The finest quality steaks, fresh seafood and vibrant island-inspired cuisine utilize the freshest Hawaii ingredients. We are seeking an innovative, “service-inspired,” and motivated individual for the following position:
General Manager
In this key role, the successful candidate will oversee the entire management and operation of Beachhouse and the Banyan Veranda. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional experienced in either hotel or “stand-alone” fine dining – with at least 3-5 years experience managing and operating a high-volume, upscale restaurant. The proven leader we seek will be an entrepreneurial individual with relevant sales and marketing expertise, an acute customer focus, attention to detail and business savvy. Well-developed analytical, communication and presentation skills will be essential to success in this role. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
~ Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
~ Manages daily operations of Beachhouse restaurant while driving profitability of the signature restaurant.
~ Minimum 3 years Food & Beverage management experience in fine dining is required.
~ Responsible for staffing, training, and scheduling restaurant staff members.
~ Ensures strong service standards are met. Represents signature restaurant in various community events and other promotional opportunities.
