We are actively recruiting for a Healthcare Data Analyst for our Government Contracts Department!

The ideal candidate will provides Healthcare Analysis for the plan inclusive of program planning, research, document preparation and review, policy and procedure development and staff training Research state reporting requirements to develop, maintain, implement the use of and submit necessary reports based on state specific guidelines; develop and maintain databases and processes. Accountable for delivering work products that comply with regulatory and/or contractual requirements. Work with management to ensure business needs are addressed with appropriate priority.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business operations/management or equivalent preferred

Experience: 5 years of related experience; experience with Managed Care Plans and working with regulatory environments; high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Word)

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.

Project management experience a plus.

Experience working with complex, often highly technical teams preferred

Prior experience writing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) preferred

Minimum of 5 years proven analytical experience.

Managed care experience preferred

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Develop and maintain the databases and processes used to store and analyze operational data

· Gathering requirements from business units inclusive of state agency regulatory requirements and contract requirements.

· Receive, evaluate, and interpret business processes.

· Collect, analyze and document business requirements and functional projects in relation to government contract requirements.

· Analyze and report data.

· Work directly with Health Plan leaders to understand their business needs, strategies, priorities, and key issues.

· Emphases on business operations: prior experience in managed care/Medicaid a Plus.

· Subject Matter Expert in research of contract and evaluation of state reporting requirements.

· Design and implement processes to gather necessary data from various sources to support state report requirements

· Create and submit reporting guidelines to appropriate departments

· Ensure accurate and timely report creation, submission and communication with each department

DEPARTMENT/STATE SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

· Experience in Microsoft office including Outlook, Exel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

· Experience in Microsoft SharePoint

· Experience in quantifying and development of databases

· Experience in data manipulation and analysis

· Lead and coordinate cross functional teams and achieve timely deliveries.

· Perform other duties as assigned by department management and business needs.

· Effective independent presentation of data and findings

· Ability to develop new team processes and procedures

· Ability to review and analyze trending, regulatory communications and state requirements

· Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to convey ideas, problems, and issues to business partners

· Strong organization skills that allows the individuals to handle multiple tasks while being extremely detailed

· Self motivated, self starter who has the ability to initiate projects, prioritize and meet deadlines

· Solid knowledge of managed care business systems and functions

Proficient at problem solving and troubleshooting
