As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will partner with and support the key markets within PNC’s Retail Distribution businesses by providing proactive human resources management support while influencing engagement, service/sales, operational and revenue objectives. Responsibility includes managing and/or coordinating the delivery of human resource related products or services. Incumbent identifies issues, determines approaches and implements actions in consultation with the business executives. Strategic human resource partner for multiple Distribution business segments, which requires corporate-wide remote coordination of diverse business functions.
Essential Functions – Critical Elements of the Job
· Consult with business partners to understand business strategy and human resources support needs.
· Develop strong working relationships and establish appropriate communication channels.
· Proactively identify human resource support needs and implement programs and ad-hoc support to address those needs.
· Partner to develop appropriate workforce planning to address diversity, talent acquisition, development, and retention.
· Utilize expertise to provide perspective in identifying, solving and escalating issues at needed relative to performance appraisal/management, employee/supervisor coaching / counseling, and disciplinary matters.
· Partner with human resource colleagues in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation and benefits to ensure holistic delivery of human resources support to the business.
· Work with assigned business segments/managers to implement business- and company sponsored initiatives.
You will report to a Senior Human Resources Business Partner.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required; Graduate Degree strongly preferred.
· Candidates must have demonstrated relationship management and consultative skills.
· Candidates must have the ability to work with and influence senior managers throughout a geographically dispersed business.
· Candidates must have the ability to understand the business’s strategic plans, and to translate those plans into effective Human Resources / Talent Management Programs and actions.
· Candidates must understand human resources disciplines and how they impact the business.
· Knowledge of the Retail Banking industry is strongly preferred.
· Previous experience in a management position is preferred but not required.
· Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills are required.
· Effective and persuasive oral and written communications skills are required.
