Job Description:
Consults with and advises management on legal and related personnel issues. Works with Corporate HR Director on all HR programs. Coordinates and/or oversees various personnel programs (e.g., wage and salary administration, affirmative action plans, employment, legal compliance, performance management and program development).
-Responsible for the management of all HR functions for the division and manage the daily activity of the HR Generalist.
-Coordinates and/or oversees HR programs/project for the division.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Consults with and advises management related personnel issues. Advises managers on various personnel issues by collecting factual information, reviewing and interpreting company policy and recommending appropriate solutions. Works with Employee Relations Manager on investigations. Works with appropriate contacts to troubleshoot problems regarding Payroll, Benefits and HRIS.
• Monitors and maintains personnel programs. Recommends and communicates personnel program changes.
Monitors legal developments to ensure that personnel programs and policies are in compliance. Communicates program changes to field to ensure compliance with policies and/or laws by creating or modifying documentation or coordinating documentation activities with other departments (e.g., Communications).
• Performs administrative tasks in the areas of wage and salary, employment, affirmative action plans, legal compliance program development, and outsourcing acquisitions. Administers and interprets company employment policies and programs. Coordinates the requisition process and approvals and forwards to recruiting. May recruit personnel for specific positions. Administers Online Technical tests to specified applicants.
• Administers all HRIS data for the division. Provides data (e.g., workforce demographics, employment transactions) to outside counsel relating to job duties, employment practices, promotion/transfer patterns, and work force demographics by coordinating various MIS data sources required to produce relevant data in an electronic format.
• Monitors actual employment transactions (e.g., terminations, hires, promotions) and factor analysis goals by comparing job openings and selection rates to applicant/protected group availability and goals and by recommending strategies for minimizing or eliminating underutilizations.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in related field.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years Human Resources experience with 3 or more years of HR Management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Recent experience as an HR Manager in a Fortune 500 Technology or Financial services industry strongly preferred.
Certificates/ Licenses:
SPHR/PHR SHRM certification.
