Description:
Maintenance Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in cleaning, mechanical and grounds maintenance to ensure clean, orderly, safe, sound and attractive conditions at the shopping center by performing duties personally or through subordinate staff.
- Establishes standards and procedures.
- Plans work schedules.
- Inspects and evaluates physical plant and cleanliness of center.
- Selects and purchases new equipment.
- Directs workers engaged in maintaining and cleaning of shopping center.
- Directs workers engaged in ground maintenance activities.
- Requisition tools, equipment and supplies.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Confers with other supervisors and management to coordinate activities.
- Promote Team work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Three (3) years experience in facility maintenance.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must have basic skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, a general knowledge of construction, and have a basic knowledge of computer applications.
- Strong communication skills and the desire to contribute to a successful team are essential.
