Plainview Hospital is an acute care community hospital with 246-beds. The facility treats patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, obstetric and gynecological conditions. The hospital also houses an MRI, one of the most sophisticated diagnostic tools available today. “Suite Beginnings” offers LDRP’s (labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum suites), which make the entire birth experience more personal and comfortable for the entire family. The hospital has an active same-day surgery program and a busy Emergency Department, which is a designated Level II Trauma Center featuring a chest pain emergency room. The latter is a separate area where patients with cardiac complaints are assessed immediately.

Coordinates and maintains an established quota of all general supplies necessary to the functioning of Operative Services by cooperating with Materials Management to obtain the most cost-effective products which are clinically acceptable. Maintains all records relevant to purchasing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or Equivalency Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in a Health related field preferred.

Working knowledge of state of the art surgical instruments and equipment. Prior management experience in a healthcare setting (2yrs minimum) preferred. Strong organizational and personnel management skills (responsible for 2 inventory staff). Excellent computer skills with materials management and expense reports preferred.

Monday thru Saturday, days and hours flexible as to meet the needs of the unit. 7.5 hr shifts – 37.5 hr week
