Description:
Talented science/technical communications specialist needed to join our client’s Life Sciences & Chemical Analysis Marcom team. Come ready to help the product management team craft high level messaging all the way from application notes to promotional activities for the genomics and other businesses. This position requires a clear-thinking individual with excellent project management skills and multi-tasking capabilities. You will be interfacing with external agencies and help to coordinate Marcom projects among various product lines. A science degree and/or lab experience, particularly with genomics or molecular biology, is a huge plus. You will – Partner with a broad range of stakeholders (scientists, product managers, marketing management, consultants, etc.) in a highly-matrixed environment in order to develop and execute integrated marketing communication projects. – Discuss and develop concepts for technical and promotional marketing collateral, both print and on-line. that maintains and adheres to company brand standards and messaging – Manage communication projects and vendors in the areas of marketing collateral, such as application and product notes, promotional tactics and e-communications including search optimization, on schedule and within budget. – Facilitate resolution of conflicts of opinions across functional areas and teams. – Hold regular project review meetings to review content, format and timing of documents and other milestone meetings. – Ownership and management of your technical and promotional marketing documents within the e-library and across web sites. In addition to bringing the required technical writing skills, and industry experience, the position requires the applicant to be willing and able to take responsibility for the mentoring and/or training of colleagues and/or contractors and consultants, maintaining close contact with other groups internally and departments worldwide, and the coordination of external contractors and agencies. The position also requires the ability to continuously stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art communication tools and techniques.

Requirements:
BA/BS in Marketing/Marketing Communications or Life Sciences or equivalent (complemented by a post-graduate and/or certification/license). – Must be computer literate with PC based applications (MS Office Suite, web and desktop publishing applications like QuarkExpress and Adobe Creative Suits, etc.) – 9+ years practical experience, 5 years of which will be relevant marketing and/or communications experience – Excellent proven project management experience including demonstration of planning and organizational skills with minimal supervision. – Understands different communication channels and appropriate use of each – Must be deadline-oriented, possessing a sense of urgency, accuracy and will be meticulous and attentive to detail. – Solid work ethic, professionalism, organizational ability and follow-up skills needed. – Native English speaker or proven level of excellent spoken and written English.
