The Market Development Specialist supports GE/Hepatology/IR/Transplant customers with issues regarding the use of Nexavar. Plays a critical role in Bayer Team Selling approach, which is the cornerstone of the Business Plan for the Oncology Business Unit. Is responsible for increasing the number of non-med onc precribers and referrers for Nexavar. Educates/supports all personnel within an Account.Continually develop and deliver comprehensive territory plan. Execute the strategic and tactical brand and sales plan. Support to the Account will center around educating on product expectations and administration.Will follow up with these accounts on a routine basis to make sure Account Staff personnel are comfortable with our products. Regional Nexavar support as needed, directed by the RSM.Learns and understands the customer business issues.Provide ongoing detailed feedback to sales and brand teams. The territory covers Phoenix AZ and Utah.There will be 40% overnights per month of travel in this role.
Qualifications
:
BA/BS required. Biological science or related discipline preferred. Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical selling experience or Oncology /Hepatology/ Health Care Provider,medical experience (Nurse/Doctor) equivalent required. Oncology / Hepatology / selling experience strongly preferred. Consultative selling experience preferred. Scientific background and understanding of clinical trials preferred. Excellent negotiation skills required. Valid drivers license and clean driving record required. Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel. This position requires around 50% car and air travel. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
