Minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager, Field Resident Engineer, or Construction Manager
Minimum 3 years experience in hospital or other industrial health care related construction work
Knowledge of all aspects of commercial hospital mechanical construction including but not limited to underground mechanical installation, high and low voltage power distribution, emergency engine generators and transfer switches, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, and installation of special medical equipment
Job Description : Will conduct daily inspections of site work, building construction work; document discrepancies, code violations, improper materials or techniques in the application of materials, substandard or poor quality workmanship; monitors schedules on various aspects of ongoing daily activities to identify and mitigate project slippage and coordinate phasing portions of the project
Reviews contractor’s cost breakdown and submittals on proposed equipment and materials; maintains accurate and complete job files including as-built drawings and specifications; identifies progress delays and recommends appropriate corrective measures toward mitigating delays and maintaining the progress schedule
Plans and coordinates disruptions to utility services as needed to keep construction progress on schedule timeline and to minimize disruption to ongoing VA operations; maintains an inventory of materials, supplies and equipment and monitors the quantity of materials used in the general administration and conduct of office operations
