We currently have an opportunity for a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team.
Position Summary:
* Perform medical front administrative office duties (answering phone, scheduling, data entry, filing, order supplies)
* Assist NP and RN as needed with back office medical and nursing routines
* Conduct patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking schedules and organizing patient flow; collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc;
* Collecting patient history
* Performing screenings per provider guidelines
* Assisting nurse practitioner/physician/nurses with various procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients
* Answering calls and providing pertinent information
* Fulfill environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: setting up equipment according to department protocols
* Cleaning exam/procedure rooms, and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms.
* Other tasks as assigned

Requirements
* MA with at least 2 years experience in a primary care or occupational health setting. This individual should be flexible, self-motivated, dedicated to quality patient care and customer satisfaction. They should be able to think outside of the box.
* Ppossess excellent communication skills, and work effectively in a team environment.
* Preferred candidates should be certified and have a CPR certification.
* Prior occupational health experience is a plus.
