Job Summary
Plan, organize and control an assigned product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate objectives.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
# Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging product categories.
# Coordinates technical product development, estimates of potential profits and release to production.
# Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development
# Conducts marketing analysis to develop program definitions
# Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for category

# Solutions require analysis and investigation.
# Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience.
# Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Work Environment
# Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
# Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
# Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Essential Skills
Minimum Qualifications
# Must be eighteen years of age
# Must pass the Drug Test
# Must pass the Background Check
# Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience
# Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
# Working knowledge of 3D architectural design software (Form Z, 3D Studio Max, Revit).
# Strong fixture design experience/portfolio.
# Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
# Strong project management experience with financial and budget knowledge.
