Duties:
The successful candidate will help support large, multi-disciplinary planning projects primarily in aid of Department of Defense installation planning projects/studies and provide input to a broad range of facility planning products and military construction programming documents. Prior US Navy/Marine Corps installation planning experience is highly desired. Work will require travel, possibly overseas.

Responsibilities:
Will support the master military planner in developing master plans, global/regional/installation specific plans, facility and infrastructure planning special studies, land use plans, infrastructure requirements documentation, facility utilization studies, facilities planning reports and project development documentation, geospatial information and GIS services support, encroachment management plans, sustainable planning and design studies, site security and force protection studies, joint land use studies, etc. Will also support NEPA -related planning and documentation (EIS, EA, and related sudies).

Skill Requirements:
Candidate must have: Strong, analytical and strong graphic skills; land use planning, preparation of facility requirements and planning documents, and capital improvements planning; excellent written and communication skills; and, ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in military planning and military construction programming support preferred but not required. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, CAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite and graphic programs are required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in planning, landscape architecture or a related discipline is required. Master’s degree is preferred. Professional Certification/License a plus (e.g.,. AICP, ASLA, AIA, LEED). Minimum of 5 yrs relevant military planning experience is preferred but not required. Direct recent experience with the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, and/or Coast Guard installation planning is preferred but not required. Understanding of NEPA and work with environmental planning is a plus.
