General Dynamics Information Technology has an immediate opening for an Education Research Analyst to support the development of curriculum for the AF Counter Proliferation Center located at Air University, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. The candidate must be able to research and analyze nuclear enterprise issues for Professional Military Education programs and exercises of interest to the USAF and DOD. They will specifically examine the following areas:

(1) Nuclear and strategic deterrence theory: relevance and role of nuclear weapons including strategy and policy issues;
(2) Nuclear enterprise and organization issues;
(3) Regional nuclear security issues to include proliferation, non-proliferation, and political issues;
(4) Nuclear employment plans and issues;
(5) History of nuclear weapons and AF lessons learned to include recent events;
(6) Nuclear surety including Personal Reliability Program (PRP) compliance, safety, security, and reliability issues.

Candidates can expect to participate in meetings, briefings, and teleconferences associated with the task. In addition, this person will aid in defining what level of knowledge, comprehension, application appropriate for each of the areas listed above at each educational institution. The applicant will be working with the Barnes Center for Enlisted Education: Airman Leadership Schools, CONUS Non-Commissioned Officers Academies, Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy; the Spaatz Center for Officer Education: Air and Space Basic Course, Squadron Officers College, Air Command and Staff College, Air War College, AF Fellows; the LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education; and the Eaker College for Professional Development.

• Masters degree with Professional Military Education or a terminal degree in relevant field is highly desirable
• Completion of Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy is highly desirable

• Record of proven military performance in the fields of nuclear weapons operations, reliability, maintenance or policy strategy and doctrine is required.
• In-depth understanding of nuclear strategic and operational challenges and solutions in the international and regional security environments.
• In-depth knowledge of the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise.
• Strong working knowledge of curriculum development processes.
• Military or civilian experience at a senior level with Air Force or other government agencies
• Clear and effective communicator with a demonstrated writing, speaking, and editing capability.
• Instruction and teaching experience highly desirable

Applicant must possess valid Secret security clearance .
