Principal Research Scientist – Pharmacokineticist

The candidate will function as a project leader in a multidisciplinary team environment with primary responsibility for pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics. The candidate will integrate pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics with discovery in early translation efforts as well as define strategies and help optimize development of new molecular entities. He or she will interact across groups, including other departments, regulatory agencies, and functional groups within drug disposition. The candidate should have a proven track record in drug development with an emphasis on working effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:

* Design/interpretation of Clinical studies not limited to clinical pharmacology, proof of concept and regulatory type PK/PD studies
* Develop and apply PK/PD modeling strategies
* Write clinical study reports
* Interface with biology, toxicology, clinical research and statistics

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics or a related field in Pharmaceutical Sciences
* More than 5 years of industry (pharma, biotech, CRO, etc.) experience with PK/PD in the area of small molecules and/or monoclonal antibodies, peptides/proteins or fusion proteins
* Experience in development of PK/PD models with direct application to drug discovery and development
* Expertise in application of software such as WinNonlin, NONMEM and S-Plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES:

# Experience with drug development and knowledge of regulatory processes
# Prior experience working in an interdisciplinary team
# Demonstrated ability to identify scientific issues and solve problems, both individually and with partners in functional groups
