Specific Job Description The applicant must possess the ability to manage the Courtland Quality Assurance (QA) effort in accordance with enterprise-level command media and specific facilities and program requirements. This effort includes support to the Targets and Countermeasures program (TCP) activity. The selected candidate must have proven quality engineering, systems safety, missile vehicle, and ground support equipment leadership experience, which will ensure effective management and guidance of the Courtland QA personnel, facilitate maintaining the organization’s independence, and support QA and the TCP Programs’ mission objectives and Mission Success. The applicant must have excellent interpersonal relationship skills, as well as have the ability to work with multiple customers.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Courtland products by establishing quality requirements, implementing program quality requirements and then assessing, auditing, verifying, and/or certifying that all deliverables are in accordance with contractual requirements by: (1) participating in program planning; (2) contributing directly to design, procurement, manufacturing, and test decisions; (3) imposing quality controls on design, test, and manufacturing processes; and (4) providing a disciplined program for prevention, detection, assessment, and correction of discrepancies for hardware commodities. Implement a comprehensive quality assurance and system safety program to ensure quality of hardware products, including; failure diagnosis, inspection and test planning, non-destructive test, handling and storage of ordnance materials, Supplier Quality, Material Review, Failure Review, and System Safety. Use data reviews and metrics for independent assessment of performance, leading to effective corrective action(s) and process improvements. Candidate must have cost account management experience with emphasis in technical, cost, and schedule. Candidate must have proposal preparation and detailed experience with subsystem and system level integration. Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years quality experience in QA disciplines. Candidate must have demonstrated the following: effective oral and written communication skills and ability to manage personnel in a multi-disciplinary, integrated product team environment. Due the technical nature of the task requirements, a Quality Engineering, Engineering, Physics or Chemistry degree is required. Some domestic travel may be required. Secret clearance is required with the ability to achieve top secret.
Standard Job Description Manages the development, modification, application and maintenance of quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the collaboration with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Monitors the devise and implementation methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Oversees the design or specification of inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Insures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
