External Description: Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) looking for adventure? Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center, a 25-bed, acute care hospital located in breathtaking Kodiak, Alaska, is currently seeking a highly-skilled RN III, with strong Labor & Delivery experience. Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients in assigned department. Assesses patient needs, plans, and performs interventions, evaluates responses to care and documents this nursing process. Completion of an accredited nursing program; Associates Degree required, Bachelor�s degree preferred. Must complete required in-service annually as determined by institution/department. Four years RN experience in an acute setting required. Experience in multiple areas (Medical/Surgical, Obstetrics, ICU) of patient care preferred. Minimum of two years employment in Labor & Delivery preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. BLS or the ability to attain certification within 90 days of date of hire required. Department specific qualifications may include: ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC. Regular attendance is a requirement of this position. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
