Job Description
Responsible for all aspects of restructuring, maximizing the value of and disposition of problem business banking, commercial and/or real estate loans of moderate to large size and complexity. Candidate will need to utilize strong commercial credit skills. Negotiating loan workouts, litigation and bankruptcy will be routine. This Special Assets Officer will interact with other workout officers, lending officials, and borrowers. Work closely with and manage outside counsel representing Regions Bank. This position requires 10% travel.
Requirements: Ten years of experience in commercial loan workouts with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Must possess a broad knowledge of commercial credit/underwriting including but not limited to secured and unsecured C & I, real estate, and syndicated loans. In addition, must have extensive experience in loan restructuring bankruptcy, foreclosure and litigation matters. PC proficient with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and knowledge of Moody’s Risk Analyst helpful.
Education: Bachelors degree from accredited college or university; background in accounting or finance preferred.
