Job Description: Store Support:
Primary responsibility is phone based technical support for a nationwide automotive parts retail chain. Position is one of responsibility and applicant will be responsible for Help Desk opening and closing procedures and security administration as directed by Loss Prevention. Position may require working during times were direct Supervision is not present on site, such as opening and closing hours. Responsible for escalating situations to the on-call Supervisor as needed. Responsible for assisting store employees with procedural issues such as running automatic open/close procedures, changing/adding security passwords, nightly paperwork problems, updating payroll system and various keying of register transactions. Diagnoses and repairs store operational hardware items to include but not limited to registers, printers, satellite system and servers. Ensures all store and other P.O.S. users are given efficient response to all hardware needs and assists with difficult problems. Assists with software & hardware enhancements and changes by providing support to the stores and groups involved in development. Coordinates efforts between inter-office Dept./Groups to better service the store in a timely manner.

Internal Support:
Supports corporate associates and groups through logging and directing technical support tickets to the appropriate groups. Responsible for opening tickets for all access requests, telecommunications and PC Support related issues. Assist in Training and Development of current TSS Group Staff as directed by Shift Supervisor. Assists the Shift Supervisor’s with the training of new hire employees through mentoring in a hands-on environment.
Qualifications: Requires 2 years experience in technical support call center environment or similar experience.
Basic Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge required
Unix knowledge a plus but not required
Good verbal and written communication skills required
Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (several hours at a time)
