SCHEDULE:

Core business hours are, but not limited to, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops, implements, and conducts training programs including, but not limited to, claims processing and adjustments, payment policies and benefits, customer service, policy and procedural changes, enrollment, accounts receivable, provider systems and/or remedial training on topics identified through quality review.

Develops and conducts training assessments, competency testing as well as follow-up testing to determine effectiveness of training programs/modules and to document employee profiles. Develops a training plan based on analysis of results. Drives proactive resolution of skill and competency deficiencies.

Develops and maintains system database for training classes.

Develops and edits training documentation and database to support policies, procedures, system enhancements, provider contracting, etc.

Share training responsibility for new hires during initial training process. Identifies and shares best practices.

Serves as product/process expert and resource to internal client.

Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED (minimum):

Ø High school degree or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Ø Minimum of 2 years claims processing, customer service and/or healthcare operations experience.

Ø Minimum of 2 to 3 years classroom training or equivalent work experience.

Ø Experience in developing and designing training modules or curriculum preferred.

Ø Expert knowledge of medical terminology, coordination of benefits and diagnosis and procedure coding preferred.

Ø Expert knowledge of Medicaid products under both fully insured and self-funded arrangements preferred.

Ø Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills.

Ø Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.

Ø Demonstrated leadership and motivation skills.

Ø Able to provide constructive feedback and serve as a mentor.

Ø Demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in written format.

Ø Ability to travel within the State of Alaska, as well as infrequent travel out of state.
