Warehouse Person/Expeditor-Jobs in Alaska

General Duties:
Sales:
1. Reads catalog, microfiche viewer, or TAMS computer for replacement part stock number and price.
2. Fill customer orders from stock or orders parts as requested by customer.
3. Wraps or bags merchandise for customer.
4. Marks and bags merchandise for customer.
5. Receives and fills telephone orders for parts.
6. Takes inventory of stock.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, NAPA Parts and Supplies.
Warehouse:
1. Check-in stock order with TAMS scanner and post to computer as directed by manager.
2. Place goods and items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences numbers and letters, or product code.
3. Mark products or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences numbers and letters, or product code.
4. Fills, and receives all documents or purchase order for price quotes, or orders, through TAMS computer as requested by customer or vendors and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping areas.
5. Keep store and area clean. Sweep, mop, dust, and throw trash daily.
6. Maintain or assist staff with inventory and records.
7. Contact customers or vendors for special orders to be ordered or received.
8. Approves purchase orders, file, and send all documents from vendors for payment. As directed by manager.
9. Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse or pick up items from specified locations for shipment.
Experience Needed:
Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.Six months sales and warehouse experience preferred.Current Alaska Drivers License required.Forklift experience is helpful, but not a necessity.Requires excellent math, communication, and organizational skills, good memory, basic computer knowledge, ability to work independently and following written instructionsThe ability to speak and understand the Inupiaq language is important and preferred
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent.
