RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exceptional customer service for Business, Commercial, or Community Banking customers by establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships and providing operational and administrative support for Relationship Managers and customers. Possess advanced knowledge of Wachovia Wholesale Banking policies and procedures. Actively partner with Relationship Managers to discuss prospects, customers, and trends. Initiate or participate in sales and presentation calls with Relationship Managers and product specialists. Build and maintain alliances with Wachovia Treasury Services, Operating Services, and Commercial Loan Services, which are critical in serving as the first escalation point for customer problems. Serve as primary contact and central information source for customer portfolio after the initial sale and play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and business retention for the life of the relationship. Coordinate loan documentation with internal teams and collect data required for product implementations. Coordinate opening of accounts, process funds transfers, and assist with other customer requests. Make proactive contact with customers in portfolio to check on service and to pursue sales opportunities. Identify sales and product opportunities as well as potential customer problems in Relationship Manager’s customer portfolio and enhance knowledge of customers, their businesses and their needs by researching customer information and market competition. Capitalize on sales opportunities associated with servicing the customer by listening for potential customer problems, concerns or needs and recommending potential Wachovia solutions. Identify customer service and productivity enhancements and work to implement them within the segment. May serve on project teams as requested by management. Provide administrative and sales support including answering phones, preparing presentations, documentation, meeting arrangements, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma. Minimum 2 years experience in customer service in a customer facing role – in person and telephone, including both inbound and outbound telephone contact. Strong knowledge of PC applications in a Windows environment: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes. Experience with mainframe applications as well as database applications. Experience working in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing job responsibilities is critical. Strong written and oral communication skills. Able to navigate the internet and intranet. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently and exhibit strong problem solving skills, excellent communication and organization skills and exhibit a high degree of initiative. Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management and customers and the ability to work as a member of a team. PREFERENCES: 3+ years customer-facing experience in banking. Experience supporting sales professionals and/or sales managers. Associates degree or higher preferred. Understanding of Emerald and RM Tools. Knowledge of Wholesale Banking terminology. Experience with loan documentation and closing processes. Sales experience. Experience creating/preparing presentations. Mon – Fri, 40 Hours Mon – Thurs, Sat, 8:00am – 5:00pm
