There is currently a full-time General Manager position available at our store located at 3843 Saint Clair Ave NE, Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

o Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach/exceed business goals
o Demonstrating excellence in business to business selling on a daily basis
o Effectively communicating business statistics & progress toward goals to motivate the performance of others
o Modeling and promoting career opportunities to personnel
o Developing and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals
o Demonstrating the ability to lead others
o Performing all aspects of running a small business as required

The General Manager is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the store business. Support responsibilities may include purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing and inventory management as needed to assure success of the business.

Successful candidates must:
o Possess a valid driver’s license & meet company driving record requirements
o Be able to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
o Practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the business
o Demonstrate excellent written & oral communication skills
o Exhibit a positive attitude, effective problem solving ability & dedication to providing optimal customer service
o Possess the ability to learn & perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
o Practice effective time management and organizational skills
o Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency
o Demonstrate strong computer skills and aptitude

Preference is given to those who possess either an Associates Degree in Business/Marketing OR equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market. At least one year of Fastenal or related sales experience is preferred. Previous managerial experience and product knowledge are a plus.
