Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Mon-Fri. – Negotiable.
There is one vacancy to be filled at each location – Dublin, GA & Cheyenne, WV
This position is located in the Meds by Mail Office in either Cheyenne, WY or Dublin, GA. This is a CHAMPVA sponsored program that processes prescriptions for CHAMPVA beneficiaries with no other health insurance prescription drug coverage and all prescriptions for Spina Bifida patients. You will perform a variety of administrative and support duties. Duties will include:
o Greeting the public and answering telephones, referring them to the appropriate staff member.
o Providing information about the office, functions, and procedures to callers or visitors.
o Preparing correspondence and a variety of reports.
o Maintaining calendars, appointments, and schedules.
o Obtaining office supplies through use of a VA purchase card.
o Processing incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, etc.
o Preparing public presentation outlines and transcribing various meeting minutes.
o Serving as alternate timekeeper.
o Reviewing outgoing correspondence for accuracy, completeness, etc.
o Assisting in the preparation and filing of confidential documents such as recruitment documents, performance awards, disciplinary actions, grievances, etc.
o Preparing folders for new employee orientation and performance evaluations.
o Scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings/conferences.
o Obtaining and monitoring the use of services, supplies, or equipment in the office.
o Serving as a purchase cardholder, complying with regulations, and attending necessary training to become the contracting officer of record for micro-purchases made with the card.
o Entering purchases information into a computerized program, ensuring that orders are delivered and reconciled promptly.
o Resolving payment, purchase, and delivery discrepancies with vendors.

Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GS-6 Qualifications
Specialized Experience: 1 year of Specialized Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform successfully the duties of Secretary, and that is typically in or related to the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least GS-5 grade level.
Examples of Specialized experience are: General clerical public contact support services such as answering phones, referring visitors, providing information about the office, functions, and procedures; preparing correspondence and a variety of reports; maintaining and coordinating calendars, appointments, schedules, and meetings; and obtaining and monitoring the use of services, supplies, or equipment in the office.
NOTE: Evidence of specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation on your resume or OF-612. Also provide work experience information such as hours per week, salary and starting/ending dates of employment (month and year format) to establish one (1) full year of Specialized Experience.
