· An established caseload and reputation. Dr. Betsy Dayrell-Hart is retiring after thirteen years at SouthPaws Neurology. Dr. Mike Knoeckel has been with us for eight years – and is not leaving!
· A special procedures room for EMG, NCV, quick biopsies, CSF taps, etc.
· 24 exam rooms total with two dedicated to neurology.
· 3D Spiral CT, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound all available in-house. Iams MRI Center less than five miles from our hospital.
· Rapid in-house lab machines (CBC, chemistry, electrolyte, coag monitors and more) for quick service to outpatients and inpatients.
· 24/7 doctors/nurses in our emergency and critical care unit to help manage our patients overnight, holidays, and weekends. This service also facilitates sick-patient, same day urgent referrals.
· Full time surgery, medical and radiation oncology (linear accelerator and I131 therapies), internal medicine, ophthalmology, physical therapy, and radiology specialists to help provide multimodality patient care and support.
· Dedicated neurology nursing staff and patient/client care coordinator.
· Five surgical suites connected by a sterile corridor.
· Dedicated anesthesia/surgery technicians to provide ventilator-based anesthesia and monitoring.
· The opportunity to teach through our internship and student extern programs, as well as continuing education seminars for our local veterinarians.
