This is a unique opportunity for the sales executive with a proven track record of analyzing the business and technical environments of key potential clients and creating an enterprise-level solution to fit their needs. With aggressive growth in the IT services marketplace, and a continued focus on the expansion of clientele in our covered market (the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, greater Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota), we seek a sales professional to expand the influence of our Minneapolis Business Unit and contribute to the continued growth strategy in this region.
As part of our business development team, the goal of the Business Development Executive will be to initiate new and/or leverage existing relationships with key IT and business-level decision-makers and drive the sales process. The ability to both hunt new clients and deliver larger contracts with existing clients will be critical in being a key part of the account team.
This individual will be responsible for establishing new client relationships, identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing pre-sales relationships and process, and participating in the closing of deals. This includes lead generation (cold calling/networking), analysis of potential opportunities, working with the internal development teams to propose solutions and determine project pricing, proposal development, and closing business. Additionally, you may participate in the facilitation of technical partner relationships. This is a crucial role within the organization and efforts are effectively rewarded
While this is a Minneapolis based position, it is probable that this opportunity will require travel outside of the Twin Cities.
Required Skills
Required skills/experience
* Demonstrated ability to sell “enterprise level projects” in six-figure increments and confidence to take on a $2M quota challenge for the first year.
* 2+ Years experience selling complex IT services and solutions in a top tier professional services firm or within an organization with a large services division.
* 7+ years of successful sales/business development experience defined by examples of personal achievement (e.g., meeting and exceeding revenue goals, selling in competitive markets, proven skills in establishing new client relationships)
* Knowledge and ability to articulate IT services and solutions, business portals, business integration, web services, SOA and BPM as it pertains to both the business and IT marketplace and how these technologies are deployed to solve business challenges.
* Professionalism and strong sales acumen with ability establish C-level relationships and partnerships.
* Ability to drive opportunities to fruition and close.
* Must be well networked in the IT/business community among Global 2000 and major midsize companies
* Must have experience managing large complex accounts with exposure to account management disciplines
* Must have strong client references
* Self-starter, a bias for action and urgency, and the adaptability required to grow within a dynamic entrepreneurial organization
* Desire to work in a successful team environment.
* Ability to use various software programs to produce proposals, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, etc. (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Bachelor’s degree in technology or business preferred.
