This position is located at the Corporate office in Minnesota – relocation is not available
The assistant will be expected to run the executive’s office and facilitate all aspects of their business role as well as serve as a liaison and communications link among the executive, direct reports, peers, business persons and customers. Acts as a representative of the function and leader to other internal functions or externally, and has strong working knowledge of the overall business strategy. Role will include the proactive performance of functions that will maximize the use of the executive’s time, which will require the exercise of good judgment and discretion in analyzing and resolving confidential and sensitive situations. This role requires working knowledge of the interrelated department activities that report to the executive. Requires understanding of how the executive’s area of responsibility fits into the overall business strategy. The individual will represent the executive and Best Buy in all business activities. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, concurrent tasks. May organize and coordinate large meetings and events.
Basic qualifications:
HS Diploma/Equivalent
3 or more years of experience supporting an executive at VP level or above
5 or more years of general administrative support experience
Proven experience creating complex presentations using PowerPoint
1 or more years of experience with scheduling both domestic and international travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
1 or more years of Best Buy experience
