Job Overview
Provide management leadership and functional experience in the FICO areas in an SAP global implementation and support environment. Responsibilities will span most aspects of SAP and ideally the right candidate will have extensive SAP knowledge particularly in the GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Controlling areas as well as CO-PA.

Working in conjunction with the SAP Global Competency Center (GCC) and executive management, this positions will ensure that the SAP system conforms to the enterprise-wide design and meets the needs of end users. This person will be responsible for driving completion of project related deliverables such as documentation, configuration, training, delivery and support.

Essential Functions:
• Works with senior finance leaders across the organization in designing and supporting key business processes in SAP
• Works independently in developing and maintaining key business relationships with finance stakeholders. Develop strategies to overcome barriers when necessary
• Establish clear objectives for project teams that are frequently assessed in regards to meeting user requirements
• Manage the timeliness, quality and completeness of deliverables to ensure the project or initiative moves forward per the established time lines and requirements
• Ensure consistency and harmonization of global finance processes in SAP
• Knowledge of key financial process controls in support of SOX and other compliance requirements
• Directly manage a team of employees, consultants, and applicable partners on functional planning, process design and implementation
• Ensure successful design, configuration and implementation of the ERP processes on an enterprise-wide basis
• Track and report project status on a regular basis to upper management, including identifying, categorizing and escalating project issues that require input from higher levels of management
• Ensure and/or prepare required documentation needed to determine project and operational system priorities

Accountability/Supervision:
This position will be accountable for working with the business on defining global, harmonized SAP business processes in the FICO area. The employee will be responsible for leading the work direction for teams of SJM employees and consultants in the delivery of these services. The person in this position should be able to develop strategies and tactics for the realization of these solutions and services with limited input from their direct management.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or advanced degree is desirable
• 10+ years experience in IT or equivalent business experience working with financial systems
o At least 5+ years experience working in the SAP FICO area
o Knowledge of the SAP MM and SD modules and their interaction with SAP FICO is preferred
• 4+ years direct people management with small to medium-sized teams which include employees as well as consultants
• Establish and maintain credibility while building formal and informal relationships among different Finance, IT and business groups
• Good understanding of technical documentation standards and industry standards
• Detailed knowledge of all the major business processes and associated functionality in the Finance and Controlling area; includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management, deduction management, billing and account determination, lockbox, fixed assets, GL, PCA, CCA, tax, and financial consolidations
• Ability to understand and explain to others the cross-functional and global implications of business process decisions and their implementation in a global SAP environment
• Proven project management/leadership experience with the ability to create innovative solutions, drive to closure, manage timelines/deadlines and foresee opportunities to improve and harmonize business processes across sites, divisions and geographies
o Direct experience leading projects and initiatives with employees and consultants
• Ability to make objective and timely decisions under difficult circumstances
