Daily Responsibilities Performs system-engineering functions primarily with respect to computer functional allocations, development of code, software development, hardware development, and reliability, maintainability, and availability (RMA). Also provides expertise in state-of-the-art, real-time automation hardware design and development as well as state-of-the-art real-time automation software design and development and their interface with computer hardware systems.

Required: Skills Senior information Technology Systems Engineer: Successful completion of a post secondary school curriculum leading to a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or a vocational or technical school certificate indicating that post secondary school education and training in the Computer Information Technology Systems Engineering career field has been completed.
A minimum of ten years experience within the Computer Systems Engineering career field is required with at least two years experience as a project manager or team leader on some form of system analysis project for enterprise-level implementation or major hardware or software design and development program.
Mid-Level Information Technology Computer Systems Engineer: Successful completion of a post secondary school curriculum leading to an associates degree in an appropriate discipline or a vocational or technical school certificate indicating that post secondary school education and training in the Computer Systems Engineering career field has been completed.
A minimum of five years experience within the Computer Systems Engineer career field is also required.
Entry-Level Computer Systems Engineer: Successful completion of a post secondary school curriculum leading to an associates degree in an appropriate discipline or a vocational or technical school certificate indicating that post secondary school education and training in the Computer Systems Engineer career field has been completed.
No experience in the Computer Systems Engineer career field is necessary for entry-level positions.
