We are looking for a Market Research Analyst on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Smithfield, RI.

Position Description:
PWI’s Market Insights Group provides analysis and insight into investor behavior and attitudes based on quantitative and qualitative research. It also assesses the competitive marketplace identifying opportunities and threats and predicting trends.

The PWI Market Insights Group supports multiple business areas including marketing, advertising, product and distribution (channels). Working under the supervision of a Director, this position will be responsible for executing market research projects in the area of brand and advertising and communicating results to business partners and key stakeholders.

This includes quantitative studies (including large scale surveys) and qualitative projects.

Major Responsibilities:

* Oversee advertising tracking study, specifically work with vendor to measure effectiveness of TV and print advertising, analyze data, create customized reports, and manage vendor relationship
* Manage quarterly brand/advertising study among traders, specifically work with vendor to measure trader population as it relates to brand perceptions and advertising effectiveness
* Support efforts to develop successful brand and advertising communications
* Work with business partners to identify research needs and opportunities and help clarify research objectives- specifically, brand tracking research, communications/advertising effectiveness measurement, and concept testing to support communications development (advertising and direct mail)
* Design and execute both quantitative and qualitative market research studies as needed. This includes defining the project scope, objectives and deliverables, designing the research instrument, and detailed analysis.
* Working with the Director of Brand and Advertising research, this role will also develop implications and actionable recommendations. Where appropriate, help business partners develop tactics to implement recommendations
* Present findings to management.
* Manage vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered with highest quality, on time and on budget.
* Must be able to work collaboratively with business partners.
* Understand relevant market trends that impact communications strategy and advertising development

Qualifications

* 3 to 5+ years of related experience, MBA preferred but not required
* Excellent analytical skills, as demonstrated by a track record of thought leadership, problem solving activities and data manipulation
* Excellent project management skills, able to meet deadlines, keep key stakeholders informed, and creatively solve problems
* Strong oral communications, writing and presentation skills, has a deep interest in developing insights and recommendations for management.
* Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
* Ability to act confidently and influence others across all levels of the organization.
* Experience with market research strongly preferred; experience with advertising research a big plus
* Experience in the financial services industry highly desirable.
* An individual who can foster collaboration, and engage easily with people.
* Strong software and MS Office aptitude, SPSS a plus
