Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (WFHM) is searching for outside sales professionals interested in a career with a financial industry leader. The Private Mortgage Banker is responsible for the origination, processing and closing of high quality jumbo residential mortgages within the Private Mortgage Banking division. THIS IS A COMMISSION OPPORTUNITY
Duties include:
Originate high quality jumbo loans which meet WHFM guidelines while providing excellent customer service
Develop relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other business referral sources
Develop knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements
Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
Inform prospective and existing customers of WFHM programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures
Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching customer needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk
Receive customer applications, quote the rate and points, and complete follow-up activities with the registration lock-in
Develop and maintains a high degree of visibility for WFHM in the marketplace
Perform miscellaneous duties as needed and required
Minimum Qualifications
Job experience:
1+ years sales and mortgage industry experience
Availability to assist customers on evenings and weekends
Skills/competencies:
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use database marketing
Demonstrated customer service skills
Physical requirements:
Ability to move 15+ pounds
Ability to operate a moving vehicle or have access to transportation
Ability to stand/sit/walk for 6-8 hours a day
Education:
High school education or equivalent
Preferred Skills
Documented residential mortgage fundings in the past 12 months exceeding $16 million coming from established relationships with local referral partners (realtors, builders, attorneys, financial professionals, etc.)
2+ years of mortgage origination experience in the local market.
An average of two or more purchase units/month over the last three months
Excellent customer service skills
Experience working with an affluent client base

Bachelors degree or related experience
