The Senior HR Generalist is based in Columbus, Ohio and provides comprehensive HR support for Express stores in the eastern half of the U.S. This Individual Contributor position reports to the HR Manager for the East Zone and is responsible for assisting field leadership with a variety of HR issues, including recruitment strategies, on-boarding, associate relations, performance management, succession planning, change management, and retention.
This position has strong interaction with field leadership and will involve select travel to stores and field meetings, in addition to facilitating HR focused training.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to recommend corrective action up to and including termination, while ensuring compliance with all state and federal employment laws. This role will also have the opportunity to assist the HR Manager with a wide variety of projects supporting the business.
Requirements:
� Bachelor’s degree in HR and / or Human Resource certifications (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
� 3 to 5 years experience in related field HR or equivalent HR experience.
� Demonstrated customer service skills, strong relationship building skills, and the ability to own and drive a project to completion.
� Up to 25 % travel
