Job Description:
Blackbaud has an excellent career opportunity within our Finance division! We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to work in our Charleston, SC Headquarters. We are looking for a self-motivated person who has strong accounting skills and is looking for growth potential! Responsibilities include:
* Preparing account reconciliations and ownership for portions of the month end financial close process
* Preparing and analyzing business unit and subsidiary financial statements
* Preparing sales and use tax filings Assisting in income tax, property tax and other compliance activities
* Analyzing bank reconciliations and journal entries for corrections
* Handling ad-hoc requests for financial analysis
* Execution and maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley control framework
Experience and Skills:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* 4 year Accounting degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA
* 2+ years of corporate accounting experience
* Proven success in a fast paced, challenging environment
* Excellent organizational skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
* Familiarity with large-scale general ledger application(s)
* CPA preferred or currently on a CPA track
* SAP user in previous employment preferred
* Public company experience preferred
