Strategy Development

* Develop an integrated Bank strategy for SBA’s “Mega” realtor prospects (controlling approx. 45-55% of the US real estate market) and currently in negotiations for a preferred mortgage relationship with the Bank by deploying creative deal analysis and deal structuring approaches that leverages the competitive / market environment and Bank’s trade relationships.
* Develop a system for deploying targeted market and competitive intelligence on smaller business development prospects that nevertheless represent a significant mortgage opportunity (estimated to deliver over $8 billion in mortgage production in 2010)
* Develop cross-sell routines to maximize the Bank’s value of partnerships that exist with builders, realtors, financial institutions and other organizations that could influence a customer’s mortgage decision.
* Oversee a team of 3 MBAs and an I-banking-style team in India.
* Lead a team of seven associates

Project Leadership

Provide strategic leadership to complex, high profile projects designed to increase long-term profitability and market share of Bank of America’s strategic alliances. For example:

* Negotiation of the terms of the warehouse line for the joint venture alliances. Leadership in the RFP process for ensuring adequate and compliant third-party warehouse facility availability for joint ventures.
* Chairmanship of a committee recently created at the request of Sandy and Greg to review and decision FNMA repurchase requests as they relate to joint venture loans.

Strategically leads the development, improvement and execution of processes to support the Hoshin plans. Shapes strategy and is accountable for execution of the strategy. Direct accountability for leading the establishment and achievement of industry and best-in-class benchmark performance metrics. Influences peers and Executives across organizational lines to take action on strategic initiatives or process changes. Works closely with the business executive or deployment champions and MBB to achieve objectives. May be Green Belt or Black Belt certified. May manage a team of associates.

Qualifications

Required Skills

* Highly efficient and motivating leader. Experienced in working with multi-faceted, cross-functional teams of “top performers”
* Demonstrated strong functional capabilities in strategy development, industry analyses, customer analyses, data warehouse management, and report automation.
* Strong ability to influence at the C-level to structure win-win deals in a typical I-banking fashion.
* Good knowledge of the BAC organization structure by major division/function.
* Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry value chain & major players.
* Understanding the legal limits on access to cross-channel information (the so-called “Chinese walls”)
* Ability to understand the legal framework governing SBA (primarily RESPA) and its impact on the activities and processes that SBA can engage in.
