Role Summary
Provides administrative support to principal’s supporting large departments with the majority of duties being high level administrative tasks which may include supervising one or more employees, planning/coordination of large events, meetings or conferences, screening inquiries or complaints as well as projects, budgeting and space planning. Also, performs budget preparation, scheduling, reporting and tracking information, a wide variety of complex typing functions, edits and composes correspondence. Requires 3 – 5 years secretarial experience. Work requires initiative and judgment in making decisions and knowledge of department and company policies and procedures. Typically support mid to upper-level manager and/or may be team leader for other administrative roles.
Responsibilities
Provides primary administrative support to principal(s) and direct reports, along with the potential of supporting the larger department when appropriate. Tasks include calendar maintenance, scheduling meetings, departmental attendance tracking, general principal support, vacation calendaring, etc. Additional support tasks include planning/coordinating large events, meeting/conference planning, space/move planning, new hire on-boarding, etc. This position also supports the development of senior level presentation documents, etc.
Qualifications
Candidate should have minimum of 3 to 5 years secretarial/administrative support experience. Work requires initiative and judgment in making decisions and knowledge of department and company policies and procedures. Typically support mid to upper-level manager as part of administrative role. Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with major strengths in verbal and written communication, organization and research. Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direct supervision.
