Description:
Business Analyst (BA) to support the Authorization functions of the Card Services Card Processing Platform. The BA works independently or as member of a project team to analyze Business Requirements, understand business needs, and document functional design. Working closely with the Application Development Team, the BA ensures the business functionality to be developed is clearly understood and accurately documented. Furthermore, the BA may provide subject matter expertise to Quality Assurance teams to support the creation of testing plans, scenarios, and scripts.
Responsibilities:
The BA may be responsible for the creation or maintenance of a variety of functional collateral, including but not limited to, impact analysis documents, functional specifications, file/message interface specifications, CICS screen specifications, functional flows, and functional use cases.
The BA may be called upon to assist with the triage of production issues that arise during the course of business, or research questions from the business.
Requirements:
The BA is expected to be a self-starting, self-directed individual, who has the ability to effectively execute responsibilities while balancing concurrent priorities. The BA may have interaction with internal customers, other IS teams, and Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong and diverse business and/or technical background that can be applied to the BA role.
O Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, specialized training, or equivalent/relevant work experience required
O Minimum 5 years of progressive, relevant work experience in business systems analysis or an application development-related role
O Strong analytical and writing skills including proven experience in writing functional specifications or comparable collateral documentation.
O Experience working within a structured software delivery life cycle process
O Proficiency using applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, HP Quality Center.
O Experience with authorization systems, Tandem, Point of Sale systems, or VISA/MC processing is desirable
- Knowledge of card processing platforms (eg, TSYS, FDR, etc.) or the credit card industry is desirable
