Manufacturing Support Supervisor
Description
Ensure the development and implementation of optional, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards for multiple products and product lines at multiple facilities. Develop standard costs for these products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
* Support and assist in the improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
* Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment,
* Develop standard costs and analysis on multiple product lines for multiple facilities.
* Maintains detailed layouts of building and equipment.
* Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
* Manage, train and develop skills of subordinate manufacturing engineer support personnel.
* Design, develop and test and/source and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
* Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
* Enter and maintain all work orders, BOMs into the computer
* Represent manufacturing on cross-functional terms
* Maintain clean and safe environment
* Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level
Qualifications
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
* Good verbal communication skills
* Good organizational skills
* Must have basic reading, writing and math skills
Preferred
* Proficient typing skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
* Knowledge of manufacturing products
* Individual must be able to follow instructions
* Valid Driver License
Preferred
* Intermediate computer knowledge
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Essential
* The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Preferred
* Able to supervise others.
