Marketing & Customer Communications Mgr
Description
To develop and craft customer communication campaigns, especially around product releases, and to direct all content and copy development, whether in-house or outsourced.
Strategy
Develop and Direct all campaigns communicating feature enhancements and product launches to existing customers.:
Develop campaign, channel and messaging strategy for customer communications.
Create all relevant customer-facing materials and tools to support quarterly feature launches.
Develop, write, edit and/or oversee the development of all content for all marketing channels.
Management
Ensure on-time, on-budget execution of customer communication campaigns through the effective use of internal and external resources:
Work closely with all core team members to ensure the feature’s full impact to the customer is effectively and clearly articulated in all communications.
Drive the development of all marketing and sales content in all channels (DM, web, advertising, email, brochures, trade shows, whitepapers, sales presentations, demos), acting in accordance with the brand tonality guidelines.
Ensure the quality of all content being developed for any marketing initiative.
Budgeting, Expense and Revenue
Accountable to each line of business Product Marketing Manager for meeting budget guidelines for any new campaigns developed and executed, and for any metrics around feature launches.
Steward of all outsourced writing fees for agencies and free-lance writers. This is a limited and strictly managed budget line, and this individual will need to find efficiencies and still drive value.
Requirements
BA/BS and 7-10 years relevant experience in marketing, including at least 3 in writing-intensive roles.
Extensive knowledge of and demonstrated success in:
- The development of communication plans
- Branding and brand management
- Organization and project management
Ability to conduct effective meetings, gathering feedback and input from multiple different sources
Ability to evaluate creative work against a creative strategy or brief
Marketing copywriting skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with business partners and all levels of the organization
Personal credibility in one-on-one, team and public forums
Sound diplomatic and negotiating skills
